Q: Is the Training Status Report (TSR) going away? Which report should I use?
A: Not yet. The Course Status Report and the legacy Training Status Report run in parallel for now. The Course Status Report is the modern replacement for the course-level view of the TSR and is where new capabilities (time tracking, saved reports, operational actions) will live. Use the Course Status Report for course-level reporting going forward. The TSR remains available during the transition.
Q: Is the data in the report real-time?
A: Yes. The Course Status Report reads directly from the same database as the LMS, so figures (including Time Spent) reflect the current state at the moment you run the report. There is no scheduled sync or batch delay.
Q: Why is Time Spent showing “-” for some learners?
A: Time Spent is measured from in-content engagement captured by the course player. Enrolments completed in older content, content delivered through the legacy player, or records created via bulk upload won’t have measured engagement, so they show a dash (“-”).
Q: Why is Estimated Duration blank for a course?
A: Estimated Duration is configured per course on the course edit page. If it hasn’t been set for that course, the column is blank.
Q: Why can’t I fully clear all filters?
A: The report always has a date range applied. Clearing filters returns the report to its default Last 30 days range rather than to a no-filter state, so there is always a date range in effect.
Q: Can other administrators see the reports I save?
A: No. Saved reports are private to the administrator who created them. A report you save in the Course Status Report also appears in your own Saved Reports list in the Group Summary Report (and vice versa), because the two reports share the same reporting architecture.
Q: When I schedule a report from the Group Summary Report, why is the emailed export at the enrolment level instead of the grouped totals?
A: This is intended for this release. The Group Summary Report and the Course Status Report share the same reporting architecture and underlying saved report, so a scheduled Group Summary report delivers the Course Status Report export (enrolment-level data) rather than the aggregated group view.
Q: How do I include archived learners in the report?
A: By default the report excludes archived learners. Add the Include Archived Learners filter from the “+ Add Filter” menu and tick the checkbox to include course enrolments from learners who have since been archived.
Q: I left the Status filter empty. Will I get no results?
A: No. Leaving Status empty returns enrolments of all statuses. (This differs from the legacy TSR, where a status was required.)
Q: I used to be able to filter by individual modules in the Training Status Report. Why can’t I now?
A: Filtering by individual modules has been deprecated in the new Course Status Report. You can still see module-level detail for a course enrolment: open the Progress modal on a row to view its modules, or export the report using the Results inc. Modules option to include module data.
Q: Can I download certificates for bulk learners at once?
A: Not yet. You can download a single learner’s certificate from their row in the Course Status Report. Bulk certificate download is planned for a later milestone.
Q: Can I show/hide or reorder columns?
A: Not in this release. Configurable show/hide columns are planned for a later milestone.
